A cultural heritage capital of India, it has three famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites that has within its boundaries. 1. Qutab Minar

This is one of the three amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site and top-rated Delhi attractions. Its height of 249 feet tall making it a distinguished site that was built during 1192 by Qutb-ud-din Aibak who is the first ruler of the land. The minaret that you will find in the building was named after him. It is a five-story building with 379 steps of a spiral staircase made of just elegant red stones and marble, however, it has been barred from tourist since 1974. 

2. Lotus Temple

This is the most delightful architectural site as the entire complex is built in pure marble. Lotus flower symbolizes peace and this is what you will find while inside the building and the shape of it is lotus as well. You need to keep in mind that photos are restricted within its inner sanctum and you need to be quiet while inside. This is one of the best places to visit in Delhi if you are longing for some meditation.

3. India Gate

It is known as one of the most iconic tourist places in Delhi as it was built to commemorate fallen soldiers from the Afghan war. It is 42 meters above the ground making it a prominent historical landmark and a sought after one for many photographers. The best time to visit the India Gate is during night time when it was illuminated and the fountain giving it a magical appeal. 

4. Akshardham Temple

The temple is famous as the largest Hindu temple not only in India but in the world. The overall beauty of the building will leave you in awe because of its luscious garden, exhibits, water shows, and boat rides around the area, but sadly taking photos inside is prohibited. 

5. Rashtrapati Bhavan

It is the home of the Indian President and other important people serving him such as bodyguards and utility staff. Inside are 400 rooms and the doors to the palace are open for the public during weekends through a registration process that you can easily do online. 10. Feroz Shah Kotla Fort

The oldest part of Delhi the Firozabad is where you can find this fort and it was founded in the 14th century by Sultan Tughlaq.
